FEATURES
🏰The 1997 Trapet Chambertin Grand Cru is recognized as 【one of the vintage's superstars】, showcasing a medium to dark ruby color with a fresh, blackberry, Asian spice, and earth-scented nose. It offers a profoundly deep and expansive personality, with discernible notes of prunes, earth, leather, blackberries, and juniper berries. This is a chewy, thick, and velvety-textured wine, embodying a powerful presence. While some notes suggest a riper vintage, Trapet's finesse ensured great aromatics and a vivid character.
🍴 This robust red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with a multitude of Asian cuisines, especially dishes with sweet-salt flavor combinations like Peking duck, tea-smoked crispy chicken, or Hoisin- and soy-glazed pork roast. It's also excellent with charcuterie, mild cheeses, slow-roasted chicken, or seared salmon and tuna. Earthy elements in food, such as mushrooms or lentils, will also complement its profile.
🥂 Ideal for a special anniversary, a sophisticated dinner party, or a contemplative evening for Burgundy enthusiasts. Given its age, serving this wine requires a little extra care. Expect an old-wine style, and while the condition is generally positive, be mindful of the cork and capsule. Decant gently to separate any sediment and allow it to breathe for an hour or two. Serve at cellar temperature, around 16-18°C (60-64°F).
