FEATURES
🏰 Domaine Roux Père et Fils, a family-run estate since 1855, stands as one of Burgundy's largest independent domaines, boasting over 70 hectares of vineyards across the Côte d'Or. Currently managed by the fifth generation, brothers Mathieu and Sebastien Roux, the winery is known for its meticulous approach, sustainable viticultural methods, and innovative use of small stainless steel tanks and amphora for aging. The 2017 vintage in Burgundy saw a hot and sunny summer, punctuated by welcome storm rains, leading to an ideal harvest in early September with impeccably healthy grapes. The 2017 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru displays a warm yellow color with golden tints. Its complex bouquet offers notes of fresh almond, hazelnut, smoky hints, and mineral fragrances, alongside pear and spices. On the palate, it's rich and mineral, harmoniously interwoven with hints of honey, butter toffee, and tropical fruits, with a pleasant aftertaste. Other tasting notes include ripe Mirabelle-plum juiciness, chalky depth and coolness, and a finish of melted butter. Aromas of ripe citrus fruit and pineapple are also showcased, alongside sweet spices like juniper and cinnamon. This is a wine of great finesse and class, structured with a fine length. 【From one of Burgundy's largest and most respected independent domaines, known for meticulous winemaking and a historic library of vintages.】
