Hubert Lamy, Chassagne Montrachet Le Concis Du Champ 1er Cru, 2023
🏰Hubert Lamy's Chassagne Montrachet Le Concis du Champ 1er Cru 2023 is a 【highly anticipated release from a revered producer】, known for crafting exceptional white Burgundies that beautifully express their terroir. The 2023 vintage in Burgundy is still very young, but early reports suggest a promising year with good ripeness and freshness, indicating wines with excellent balance and aging potential.
As a very young wine, specific tasting notes are preliminary, but expect a brilliant pale gold color. On the nose, it is likely to offer vibrant aromas of citrus, green apple, and white peach, underpinned by classic Chassagne minerality and a hint of toasted nuts from careful oak integration. The palate should be precise and energetic, with a crisp acidity and a long, saline finish, promising great complexity with age.
🍴 This premier cru white Burgundy will be a superb match for refined seafood dishes. Consider pairing it with pan-seared scallops with a beurre blanc sauce, grilled lobster, or roasted turbot. It also complements rich poultry dishes like roasted chicken with herbs or creamy risottos.
🥂 An excellent choice for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion with discerning guests, or as a prized addition to a serious wine cellar for future enjoyment. This wine is best enjoyed after a few years of bottle age to allow its full complexity to unfold.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Hubert Lamy is a wine estate based in Saint-Aubin, Burgundy, France, producing well-regarded wines from that appellation. The majority of the domaine vineyards are in Saint-Aubin, with around two-thirds of the holdings are given to Chardonnay and the remaining third, Pinot Noir. The domain was established in 1973, but the Lamy family history of vine growing in Saint-Aubin dates back to 1640. Since setting up, Hubert Lamy has passed management of the domaine onto his son Olivier Lamy and his wife Karine.
