Larmandier Bernier, Vieilles Vignes Du Levant, 2015
🏰 The 2015 Larmandier-Bernier 'Vieille Vigne du Levant' Grand Cru Extra-Brut is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the oldest estate Grand Cru vineyards in Cramant, with vines ranging from 50-70 years of age. This vintage is described as a rich, powerful, and flamboyant wine, considered one of the most muscular renditions since 2012. The nose opens with mature, vibrant fruit notes like candied apricot, yellow pear, and bright citrus, layered with subtle gin, chalky, and brioche notes from extended lees aging. The palate is full-bodied yet tense, offering a pure red-fruit core, vibrant acidity, and an expansive, mineral-laced finish. It undergoes secondary fermentation and further aging on the lees for over seven years, contributing to its complexity. 【 Old-vine concentration and vibrant acidity 】.
🍴 This Extra Brut Champagne, with its structure and dryness, pairs exceptionally well with rich poultry, veal, game birds, or dishes featuring mushrooms and truffles. It's also a magnificent accompaniment to seafood and shellfish.
🥂 Perfect for a celebratory toast, a sophisticated aperitif, or as a centerpiece for a gourmet meal. Its complexity and aging potential make it suitable for special anniversaries or significant milestones.
