Francois Raveneau, Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru, 2014
🏰The 2014 Domaine Francois Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is a legendary bottle in the making, earning a stellar 97 points from Neal Martin and soaring with 【aromatic complexity and kaleidoscopic minerality】. It boasts a more expressive bouquet than the 2015, revealing beautiful orange blossom and smoky scents. The palate is exceptionally balanced and saline, delivering fabulous intensity on the finish, though patience is paramount for this Chablis to reach its peak, with a drinking window extending to 2050. Raveneau is a true Burgundy legend, known for meticulous farming and microscopic yields.
🍴 This Chablis Grand Cru demands equally grand culinary partners. Think rich oyster preparations like Rockefeller, roasted poultry with truffles, foie gras, or veal in a luxurious cream sauce. It also shines with grilled lobster, delicate fish dishes in creamy sauces, or aged, firm cheeses.
🥂 A majestic gastronomic wine best enjoyed at full maturity, this is perfect for a significant celebration or a sophisticated dinner where a profound and age-worthy white wine will be the star.
