🏰The 2023 Tortochot Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is an early release from 布根地's (Burgundy) latest vintage, promising a wine of 【impressive concentration and depth from old vines】. Gevrey Chambertin is renowned for producing powerful and structured Pinot Noir. This 'Vieilles Vignes' (old vines) expression is expected to deliver intense red and black fruit flavors, complemented by earthy notes and a hint of forest floor, showcasing the appellation's classic robust character.
🍴 This Gevrey Chambertin is an excellent match for roasted game birds, classic Boeuf Bourguignon, rich mushroom dishes, and a variety of strong, aged cheeses. Its structure and fruit intensity can stand up to hearty, flavorful cuisine.
🥂 Ideal for celebratory dinners, adding to a burgeoning cellar, or as a thoughtful gift for a 布根地 enthusiast eager to explore a new vintage.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Tortochot is a wine producer headquartered in the village of Gevre-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits subdivision in the northern part of the Côte d'Or in Burgundy. It specializes in the production of wines from the Pinot Noir grape variety and is famous for its wines from three premier vineyards. The winery also has four special wines, produced from their respective Grand Cru vineyards. The Tortochot family's viticultural history in Gevrey-Chambertin dates back four generations to 19th-century winemaker Paul Tortochot, and the current 12 hectare (30 acres) estate continues to be passed down to descendants.
