🏰 The 2007 Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc is 【one of the foremost examples of white Bordeaux, known for its aging potential and aromatic evolution】. While 2007 dry reds were lukewarm, Graves whites are appreciated for their aging potential. This wine displays a bright, pale yellow color with a knockout nose of lemon drop, pineapple, white flowers, and minerals. It offers a dense, lush, and sweet palate, balanced by piquant acidity, creating a rare combination of silky volume and inner-mouth energy. Expect intense minerality, grapefruit with grilled sugar, rich caramel tones, and a strong, almost tannic spine, evolving into buttery and floral touches with age.
🍴 This sophisticated white Bordeaux is an excellent pairing for chilled seafood, sushi, or seafood in a rich cream sauce. It also complements Manchego and Parmesan cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for connoisseurs, fine dining, and special occasions, this wine can be enjoyed now, even decanted before serving. It also has significant cellaring potential, with a wait in the cellar until 2030 and beyond posing no problem.
