🏰 The 2009 Claude Dugat Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru is a highly prized Burgundy Pinot Noir from one of Gevrey-Chambertin's most esteemed Grand Cru vineyards. This vintage is celebrated for its concentration, elegance, and the ability to express the delicate yet powerful character of Griotte-Chambertin. Expect a wine with a captivating aromatic profile, silky tannins, and a long, complex finish that promises significant aging potential.
🍴 This exquisite Grand Cru Burgundy calls for refined food pairings. Consider roasted game birds like pheasant or partridge, duck confit, or a delicate beef tenderloin with a truffle sauce. Mushroom-based dishes, especially those with wild mushrooms, would also be a superb match.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a very special occasion, a serious Burgundy tasting, or as a centerpiece for a gourmet dinner. This is a wine to be savored slowly, allowing its intricate layers to unfold and reveal the true essence of its prestigious terroir.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Claude Dugat is a Burgundian producer in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation. This prestigious small winery produces only a small amount of Pinot Noir wine, with its most popular wines coming from designated Grand Crus. The domaine was founded by Claude's father in 1955, when he purchased a 13th-century building and converted it into a winery and cellar. Dugat bottles three Grand Cru red wines from Griotte-Chambertin, Chapelle-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin, as well as two Premier Cru wines.
