🏰The 1988 Joseph Drouhin Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru is a 【rare and distinguished Burgundy, showcasing the elegance and complexity of a mature Grand Cru from a classic vintage】. This Pinot Noir offers a delicate yet profound bouquet of dried cherries, rose petals, forest floor, and subtle spice, with refined tannins and a long, ethereal finish, reflecting its noble origins.
🍴 This exquisite red Burgundy pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roasted pheasant, duck breast with berry sauce, or delicate mushroom preparations. For an Asian pairing, consider Cantonese steamed chicken with ginseng or a light braised pigeon.
🥂 An exceptional wine for a very special occasion, a contemplative tasting, or as a treasured addition to a serious Burgundy collection.
BACKGROUND
Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy's most important wine producers, France. The primary grape variety is Pinot Noir, with a small portion being Chardonnay. Founded in Beaune in 1880, the domaine has expanded throughout the 20th Century to include vineyards in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, making everything from simple, village-level cuvées to highly priced grand cru and premier cru wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
