🏰 【Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is a powerful, age-worthy Pinot Noir from Morey-Saint-Denis, celebrated for its robust structure and ability to develop complex aromas over 15-20 years or more.】 The 2012 Marchand Tawse Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, from a vintage that yielded concentrated wines, is intensely colored and full-bodied. It offers a ripe fragrance with aromas of red and black fruit, wild cherry, and rose, complemented by notes of spices, tobacco, and humid wood. The palate is rich and well-balanced, robust yet crisp, leading to an intense and flavorful finish with hints of candied fruit and spices.
🍴 This prestigious Grand Cru is an excellent choice for pairing with venison steak, pheasant, truffle-infused beef dishes, or dry-aged meats. It also harmonizes beautifully with red meats in rich sauces, big game, and ripe or full-flavored cheeses.
🥂 The 2012 vintage is still evolving and has significant aging potential, typically developing for 15 to 20 years or more. If enjoying now, a decant of 1-2 hours will allow its powerful character to soften and its intricate flavors to emerge.
