🏰 The 2018 Chateau Musar Blanc is a 【unique and complex white blend from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, crafted from ancient indigenous Obaideh and Merwah grapes】, known for its incredible aging potential. This vintage, released in Spring 2024, benefited from a steady growing season with good winter rains and minimal issues. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 9 months in new French oak barriques, it presents a fine lemon-gold color that will develop with age. The nose offers aromas of lemon, lime, oregano, pine, roasted nuts, zesty citrus, light oxidative notes of bruised apple, creamy oak, and ripe peach. On the palate, it's youthful yet complex, with a rich, creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity, revealing flavors of pear, apricot, apples, and fresh Mediterranean herbs, with hints of spice, nutty wood, vanilla, and toffee. Wine Enthusiast rated it 96 points, placing it #23 in their Top 100 of 2025.
🍴 This versatile white wine excels with pâtés (especially foie gras), rillettes, and a variety of seafood dishes. Its intense flavors and good acidity also make it a surprising match for spicy Asian cuisine, grilled fish, white meats, salads, charcuterie, and cheese.
🥂 Ideal for a special occasion, a contemplative tasting, or as a unique offering for guests who appreciate distinctive, age-worthy white wines. It's a conversation starter that truly reflects its unique terroir and winemaking philosophy.
Serving Suggestion: Serve 'cellar cool' at around 15°C (59°F) rather than chilled. Decanting for several hours is recommended to allow its concentrated and complex flavors to fully express themselves.
