Joseph Drouhin, Chamboille Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru, 2022
🏰 The 2022 Joseph Drouhin Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is a testament to the finesse of Burgundy Pinot Noir. This wine, from clay-limestone soils, is celebrated for its bright, intense color and a complex aromatic palette that can evolve from raspberry and kirsch to truffle and mushroom notes. The palate is refined with silky tannins and a good balance between texture and acidity, leading to a long aftertaste of cherry and candied fruit. The 2022 vintage for Burgundy reds is impressive, offering great complexity with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, peony, and violet, underlined by silky, high-quality tannins. 【It is considered one of the most subtle and elegant wines in all of Burgundy】.
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy pairs beautifully with game, meat in sauce, roasted duck, or mushroom risotto.
🥂 An exquisite choice for a romantic dinner, a special anniversary, or a sophisticated gathering where fine Burgundy is appreciated. Optimal consumption is anticipated between 10 to 20 years, with an aging potential of up to 25 years.
BACKGROUND
Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy's most important wine producers, France. The primary grape variety is Pinot Noir, with a small portion being Chardonnay. Founded in Beaune in 1880, the domaine has expanded throughout the 20th Century to include vineyards in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, making everything from simple, village-level cuvées to highly priced grand cru and premier cru wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
