This structured Valtellina Nebbiolo pairs exceptionally well with hearty mountain cuisine, such as braised beef with polenta, wild boar ragu, or aged hard cheeses like Bitto. BACKGROUND
ARPEPE is a legendary estate in the Valtellina region of Lombardy, dedicated to producing alpine Nebbiolo (locally called Chiavennasca). Founded by Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, the estate is famous for its long aging in large chestnut and oak casks. The 'Buon Consiglio' is a Riserva from the Grumello subzone, only made in exceptional vintages. It is an ethereal, highly aromatic wine with notes of dried rose, alpine herbs, and cherry, featuring silky tannins and vibrant acidity.
