🏰【Jean Louis Chave Hermitage Rouge Cuvee Cathelin 2003 is a legendary and highly sought-after wine from a hot vintage, known for its immense power, concentration, and ability to age for decades】. The 2003 vintage in the Northern Rhône was exceptionally hot, producing wines of great ripeness and intensity. Expect a profound and complex aromatic profile of dark fruits, black olive, smoked meat, licorice, and garrigue. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and opulent, with layers of concentrated fruit, firm yet integrated tannins, and a long, persistent finish. This wine is a true expression of Hermitage terroir in a powerful vintage, offering both immediate pleasure and incredible aging potential.

🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
A monumental wine for a truly special occasion, a milestone celebration, or a serious collector's tasting. This wine is a testament to the longevity and grandeur of Hermitage.
*Serving Suggestion for Aged Wine:* Given its age, this wine will likely have significant sediment. Decanting is highly recommended, ideally 1-2 hours before serving, to separate the sediment and allow the wine to breathe and express its complex bouquet. Serve at cellar temperature, around 16-18°C (60-64°F). Handle the bottle with care to avoid disturbing the sediment. Be mindful of the cork, which may be fragile due to age.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean-Louis Chave is a powerful wine producer headquartered in the village of Mauves in the Saint-Joseph region, across the Rhone River from Hermitage. It owns about 14.5 hectares (36 acres) of land and grapes. The terraced estate now covers eight different plots on the hill, providing a range of mesoclimates and terroirs for Chave wines. Many of the vines are between 30 and 60 years old.
