🏰 Robert Groffier's Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2013 is a highly regarded red Burgundy, known for its elegance and aging potential. The 2013 vintage in Burgundy was challenging but produced wines with freshness and purity, particularly for Pinot Noir, rewarding patient cellaring. Groffier is celebrated for crafting wines that express the unique terroir of their Grand Cru vineyards. This wine typically showcases a complex bouquet of red and dark fruits, floral notes, and earthy undertones, evolving beautifully with age. 【Elegance and aging potential from a challenging vintage】.
🍴 This Grand Cru Burgundy is an exquisite match for sophisticated dishes such as roasted game birds (e.g., pheasant, duck), pan-seared foie gras, truffle-infused pasta, or classic beef bourguignon. It also pairs wonderfully with mature, earthy cheeses.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a milestone anniversary, a formal dinner, or a serious wine tasting among connoisseurs. It's a wine to be savored and discussed.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils is a winery in the Morey-Saint-Denis commune of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, France. A majority of the producer's vineyards are in Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin where it makes a range of grand and premier cru wines, mostly from Burgundy's prized red variety, Pinot Noir. The estate has 7 hectares (17 acres) of land. The domaine has been in the Groffier family since the 19th Century when it was established by Frederick Groffier. Robert Groffier took over in the mid-20th Century and the estate began to bottle its own wine.
