🏰 The 2003 Leroy Chambertin Grand Cru is a 【monumental and rare expression from one of Burgundy's most revered producers in an exceptionally hot vintage】. The 2003 vintage in Burgundy led to very ripe, powerful, and often atypical wines, and Leroy's meticulous biodynamic approach has crafted a truly unique Chambertin. Expect a powerful, rich, and concentrated wine with intense dark fruit, possibly some stewed fruit notes, along with earthy, spicy, and savory complexities, all while preserving a remarkable sense of balance and terroir.
🍴 Given its richness and concentration, this wine pairs exceptionally well with robust dishes like roasted game (deer, venison), rich beef preparations, or hearty poultry.
🥂 A truly special wine for a very significant occasion, a serious collector's tasting, or a momentous anniversary celebration.
Serving Suggestion: This wine is mature and will benefit from careful handling. Decanting for a short period (30-60 minutes) might help it open up, but be mindful of its age. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F).
BACKGROUND
Domaine Leroy is a wine estate located in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy.
