FEATURES
🏰 Domaine Nicole Lamarche's La Grande Rue Grand Cru Monopole 2015 is a perfumed beauty that displays 【fireworks in a glass with its kaleidoscopic nose of super spicy, floral, and cool red and dark berry notes, leading to a medium-bodied palate with fine definition, superb tension, conspicuous salinity, and a rich, impeccably well-balanced, and strikingly persistent finish】. This 1.65-hectare monopole in Vosne-Romanée is known for producing age-worthy red wines based on Pinot Noir. The 2015 vintage in Burgundy was highly regarded, yielding wines with both power and elegance.
🍴 This Grand Cru Burgundy deserves pairings as refined as its pedigree. Ideal with roasted duck breast with cherry reduction, wild mushroom risotto, herb-crusted lamb chops, or black truffle pasta. It also pairs well with fine French cheeses. For an Asian touch, consider roasted pigeon or delicate beef tenderloin with a subtle truffle sauce.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a landmark celebration, a serious wine tasting, or a luxurious evening where only the finest will do. While approachable sooner than some Grand Crus, patience will be rewarded as it continues to evolve. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F).
BACKGROUND
François Lamarche is a historic winery located in the village of Vosne-Romanée, France. The primary grape variety is Pinot Noir. The winery was founded in the early 20th century by Henri Lamarche and his wife, Marie Grivelet, both of whom hailed from Burgundy and had extensive experience in wine production. In 2019, the current owner, Nicole Lamarche, officially renamed the winery to Domaine Nicole Lamarche, and from the 2018 vintage onwards, the wines no longer bear the name of the former owner, François Lamarche.
