🏰 The 2014 Georges Roumier Bourgogne Rouge is a 【pure, linear, and precise expression of classic cool-climate Pinot elegance, offering a beautifully transparent reflection of Roumier's esteemed style from a vintage praised for its balance and freshness】. This red 布根地, completely destemmed, reveals lively red fruit, clean minerality, and soft tannins. Expect a bouquet of cranberry, pomegranate, and rose petals with a hint of spice, leading to a light-bodied, fresh, and elegant palate. Wine Advocate notes a ripe and opulent bouquet with kirsch and orange sorbet aromas, while JancisRobinson.com describes it as juicy in the extreme and polished.
🍴 This versatile red 布根地 pairs wonderfully with grilled salmon, roast chicken, or lentil salad. It's also excellent with subtle-flavored dishes like chicken terrine and toast, or a simple roast chicken with starchy vegetables and sautéed green beans, allowing the wine's delicate character to shine.
🥂 Ideal for everyday enjoyment, casual dinners, or picnics, this wine is a fantastic introduction to the meticulous craftsmanship of Georges Roumier. Enjoy it straight from the bottle after 15 minutes of air, no decanting needed.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Georges Roumier is a wine producer based in the Côte de Nuits village of Chambolle-Musigny that produces some of the most expensive, best-rated and most popular wines in Burgundy. The winery did not purchase the land directly, but used the French sharecropper/lease system, in which individuals farmed the land for the owner in exchange for a certain percentage of agricultural products. Now, Christophe has taken over the work of the winery and has become the owner of the winery. The current winemaker of the village. He pays close attention to terroir, so little new oak is used, and fermentation temperatures are kept low to allow the wine’s delicious flavors and aromas to shine through.
