🏰 The 2007 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques is a 【superlative and stunning expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir】, highly regarded for its elegance, transparency, and immense potential. The 2007 vintage for this wine is known for a beautiful combination of energy, balance, and harmony. Jean-Marie Fourrier's meticulous winemaking, with minimal new oak, ensures purity and freshness. It offers a knockout nose combining dark raspberry, smoked meat, minerals, and crushed rock. On the palate, it's tactile and chewy yet magically light on its feet, with terrific definition and lift to red berry, smoke, and floral flavors, culminating in a long, classy finish.
🍴 This exquisite red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with classic Burgundian dishes such as roasted duck, coq au vin, mushroom risotto, or a selection of aged, earthy cheeses. It also complements roasted game birds or pan-seared foie gras.
🥂 An ideal choice for a special occasion dinner, a connoisseur's tasting, or a celebratory meal where a truly exceptional Pinot Noir is desired.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Fourrier is a well-regarded wine producer based in Gevrey-Chambertin, in Burgundy's northern Côte de Nuits subregion, France. Its wines mostly made from Pinot Noir. Jean-Marie Fourrier took over his family estate in 1994, aged just 23. He worked with the legendary Henri Jayer in Vosne-Romanée in the late 1980s. The latter's influence is reflected in the domaine's fastidious approach in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the winery.
