🏰news | features + short tasting note IN ENGLISH
【The 1990 vintage in Burgundy was lauded for its exceptionally amicable growing conditions, nurturing vines to produce Musigny Grand Cru wines of remarkable concentration and depth, making this Faiveley offering a true vinous treasure.】 This Faiveley Musigny Grand Cru 1990, from a benevolent climate, speaks confidently of its birthright, offering an ambrosial confluence of richness and balance. Expect a wine that, with ample time, has unfurled 【delicate touches of ripe red fruits, a mélange of violets and roses, evolving into tertiary notes of earth, truffle, and sweet spices】. It possesses black Pinot fruit power, gorgeous depth, and a lush, sappy mouthfeel with active chalkiness, power, and freshness, leading to an uber-long finish. The structure retains admirable complexity yet has unfurled gracefully with age.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing various types of suggestion east or west corresponding to wine cost IN ENGLISH
This profound Musigny Grand Cru demands pairings that can stand up to its complexity. Consider classic Cantonese roasted squab or braised abalone, or Western dishes such as roast venison, truffled poultry, or slow-cooked beef tenderloin. Aged hard cheeses would also be an excellent complement.
🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
An extraordinary centerpiece for a connoisseur's tasting, a significant anniversary, or a highly prized addition to a world-class cellar. This wine is drinking beautifully now but has the structure to continue evolving for many more years.
*Serving suggestion for older wines:* Stand the bottle upright for at least 24 hours before serving. Decant gently just before serving to separate any sediment and allow the wine to breathe for a short period, perhaps 30 minutes to an hour. Serve at around 16-18°C (60-64°F). Be prepared for a potentially fragile cork and capsule.
