🏰The 2018 Coche Dury Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru is an 【investment-worthy jewel of 布根地, showcasing Domaine Coche-Dury's profound mastery over Chardonnay and the unique minerality of Meursault's Genevrieres vineyards】. The 2018 vintage, despite sporadic climatic challenges, was deftly navigated, resulting in a wine with both richness and poised acidity. This white 布根地 offers a pale gold hue with a perfumed, floral-suffused nose of white peach, lemon rind, grilled nuts, and toasted notes. The palate is round and ample, with succulent, intense, and stony middle-weight flavors, a taut muscularity, and a bitter lemon-suffused, bone-dry finish. Expect white stone fruits melding with hints of toasted hazelnut and a subtle, potent flintiness, along with grilled bread aromas, fresh almond, and grapefruit, leading to a fresh, tense, and very long stony and salty finish.
🍴 This exquisite Chardonnay is a perfect match for luxurious dishes such as chicken in cream sauce, skate in brown butter, white truffle risotto, or a rich Epoisses cheese. It also complements roasted poultry or grilled seafood beautifully.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a celebratory dinner, a special tasting event, or as a prized addition to a fine wine cellar. Its complexity and aging potential make it a truly compelling libation for discerning collectors.
BACKGROUND
Coche-Dury, headquartered in Meursault, Burgundy, is famous for its highly collectible Chardonnay white wine. In fact, Coche-Dury’s Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru wine is consistently ranked among the 100 most expensive wines on Wine-Searcher. The total land area of Coche-Dury is just over 9 hectares (22 acres), about half of which is within Meursault. Coche-Dury's only Grand Cru wine is Corton-Charlemagne, but several other wines from the domaine are also of particular importance. The Premier Cru wines from the Les Charmes and Les Perrières vineyards in Meursault are among the most expensive wines in the Côte de Beaune, while the Coche-Dury in Meursault is one of the most popular.
