🏰 The 2012 Bizot Vosne Romanee is a highly sought-after red Burgundy from 【Bizot, a cult producer known for its natural winemaking approach and exceptional terroir expression in Vosne-Romanee】. The 2012 vintage for red Burgundy was generally considered excellent, producing concentrated, elegant, and long-lived wines. While specific tasting notes for this rare bottling are not widely available, expect a wine of profound aromatic complexity and finesse. It will likely offer captivating notes of red berries (cherry, raspberry), violets, and delicate spices, intertwined with hints of forest floor and earthy minerality. The palate should be silky and elegant, with fine, integrated tannins, a vibrant acidity, and a long, harmonious finish, truly reflecting the magic of Vosne-Romanee.

BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean Yves Bizot is a small Burgundy wine producer located in the Côte de Nuits, making Pinot Noir on several small plots of the Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru vineyard and the Grand Cru chézeaux vineyard. It also produces small amounts of Chardonnay at the village and Burgundy Blanc levels, and has plots in Massanai and Burgundy Chapit. The total area of the estate is just over three hectares. The current incarnation of the domaine was founded in 1995, when Jean Yves Bizot, a professor of oenology, inherited the domaine and vineyards from his family and followed a largely unconventional winemaking process.
