🏰 The 2017 Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Procès is a standout, praised for its 【elegant, lighter-touch style that defies the powerful stereotype of Nuits-Saint-Georges】, offering lifted aromatics, silky texture, and a vibrant mineral tension. The 2017 vintage in Burgundy marked a return to 'normal' yields, producing wines that are precise, airy, and expressive, making them approachable early while also benefiting from further aging. This Pinot Noir bursts with a feminine bouquet of pure red cherry, crushed strawberry, peony, and rose petal, complemented by flinty notes and candied peel. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, and a deep, layered core, leading to a fragrant finish with fine-grained, chalky tannins.
🍴 This exquisite Burgundy red wine is a perfect match for sophisticated dishes. Think classic French fare like roasted game birds, pheasant, or venison. It also beautifully complements charcuterie and a selection of hard cheeses. For a more local touch, consider pairing it with Cantonese roasted goose or a rich braised beef brisket.
🥂 This elegant 1er Cru is ideal for a special anniversary dinner, a refined gathering with fellow wine enthusiasts, or a celebratory meal where you want to impress with a nuanced and expressive Burgundy. It's also a fantastic choice for a quiet evening of contemplation, allowing its complex aromas to unfold.
