🏰The 1992 Pommard Grand Vin from Chateau de Pommard offers a rare glimpse into a mature Burgundy vintage, showcasing 【evolved tertiary aromas and a delicate, nuanced palate】. While 1992 was a challenging year, a Grand Vin from a historic estate like Chateau de Pommard can still provide a rewarding experience for those who appreciate the subtleties of aged Pinot Noir.
🍴 This mature red 布根地 (Burgundy) is best paired with lighter game dishes like roasted quail, mushroom-based preparations, or delicate poultry. For a refined Cantonese pairing, consider braised abalone or a slow-cooked chicken with dried scallops.
🥂 Ideal for a contemplative tasting session or a special anniversary, offering a journey through time with each sip.
Kindly reminder: For a wine of this venerable age (1992), expect a beautiful evolution of tertiary aromas and a delicate palate. While we anticipate a well-preserved bottle, the condition of the cork and capsule can vary with time. Enjoy the journey through history with this exceptional vintage.
BACKGROUND
Chateau de Pommard is a winery and wine merchant located in the Burgundy region. While best known for its namesake Pommard wine, the portfolio also includes a range of Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir from across the Côte d'Or. Chardonnay wine. This also includes some grand cru wines. In addition to its two unique chateau buildings, the winery has 20 hectares (50 acres) of walled vineyard Clos Marey-Monge. The estate dates back to its founding in 1726 by a nobleman of the court of Louis XV. The property was purchased by Maurice Giraud in 2003 and an improvement plan was implemented. In 2016 it was acquired by Silicon Valley businessman Michael Baum, whose team has begun converting the estate to biodynamic farming.
