Chateau Boyd Cantenac, 2012
Red
750ml
Label : Good Label
Level : Neck Level
Capsule : Good Capsule
🏰 The 2012 Chateau Boyd Cantenac is a testament to elegance and complexity, revealing a 【deep ruby color with purple highlights, typical of great growths】. This Margaux Grand Cru Classé opens with a rich bouquet of ripe black fruit like blackcurrant and blackberry, intertwined with floral notes of violet and woody nuances of cedar and vanilla. The palate offers a full and structured attack, supported by fine, well-integrated tannins, with an aromatic profile evolving towards spicy and mineral notes, culminating in a long, refined finish.
🍴 This wine pairs wonderfully with classic meat dishes such as veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, and various roasted, braised, or grilled preparations. It also complements Asian dishes, hearty fish like tuna, mushrooms, pasta, and a wide array of hard and soft cheeses (avoiding blue and strong-flavored varieties).
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion with discerning guests, or as a cornerstone in a fine wine collection.
BACKGROUND
Chateau Boyd-Cantenac is a wine producer situated in the Margaux appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux. The history of the Chateau dates back to 1754 and oyd-Cantenac's main Medoc vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all of which feature in the grand vin. The grapes are harvested by hand and are fermented and barrel-aged individually by block. The grand vin is blended from the best barrels, with the remainder put aside to be blended with wines from younger vines for the estate's second wines.
