Chateau Clos Haut Peyraguey, Clos Haut Peyraguey, 2003
🏰 The 2003 Sauternes vintage was exceptionally good, marked by an exceedingly hot and dry year that concentrated the grapes, with well-timed September rainfall encouraging the essential botrytis. Clos Haut Peyraguey 2003 is noted for its powerful and rich character, offering fantastic aromas of ultraripe fruit, dried pineapple, apricot, and honey undertones. It presents a well-balanced palate with crisp acidity, harmonious purity, and delightful dried mango, quince, and marmalade notes. This wine is an astonishing success for the vintage, showcasing intense botrytized flavors and excellent balance. 【Astonishing success for a hot vintage, with intense botrytized flavors】.
🍴 This opulent sweet white Bordeaux is a classic pairing with foie gras, blue cheeses like Roquefort, or fruit tarts and crème brûlée. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a luxurious aperitif or digestif.
🥂 Ideal for a celebratory dessert course, a sophisticated tasting, or as a luxurious gift. Its richness and complexity make it perfect for special occasions that call for an indulgent and memorable sweet wine.
