🏰 The 2022 vintage in Burgundy is anticipated to be a generous and high-quality year. Meo-Camuzet's Richebourg Grand Cru is a monumental expression of Pinot Noir, crafted from the historic heart of Vosne-Romanée, celebrated for its 【majesty, depth, purity, and silent power】. This Grand Cru is known for its finesse, length, and delicate, endlessly changing sensations. Expect a deep ruby color, with aromas of blackberries, violets, exotic spices, and hints of forest floor. The palate is powerful yet composed, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity leading to a long, majestic finish. This wine is built for long-term aging, needing time to reveal its full complexity.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing: This king of Burgundy would be sublime with roasted squab, braised abalone with mushrooms, or a delicate beef tenderloin with a light truffle sauce. For Western cuisine, consider roasted duck, game birds, or a classic beef bourguignon.
🥂 fit for event suggestion: An exceptional wine for a milestone celebration, a serious Burgundy tasting, or a romantic dinner. It's a wine that demands contemplation and appreciation, and will reward long-term cellaring.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Meo-Camuzet is located in the village of Vosne-Romanee, France. The estate employs organic fertilizers and advanced cultivation techniques to maintain ecological balance in the vineyards. Coupled with the exceptional terroir and the legacy of Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicholas' efforts have elevated the estate to a top-tier winery in just a few decades. In 2003, Jean-Nicholas founded the négociant business Méo-Camuzet Frères et Soeurs. Although the grapes are purchased, the team personally supervises the vineyards to ensure the quality of the grape sources.
