While specific detailed reviews for this exact wine are still emerging, the 2019 vintage in Burgundy is generally lauded for producing wines with ripe fruit, excellent concentration, and vibrant acidity, promising great aging potential. 【Expect a Bonnes Mares that beautifully balances its inherent power with Henri Boillot's signature finesse and purity of fruit.】 Tasting notes for similar top 2019 Burgundies suggest aromas of dark berries, violets, and earthy undertones, with a palate that is rich, structured, and long-finishing.
🍴 This powerful yet elegant Grand Cru Pinot Noir demands food pairings that can stand up to its complexity without overpowering it. Think classic French cuisine like roasted duck breast with cherry reduction, pan-seared venison, or a delicate beef tenderloin. For a more adventurous pairing, consider a refined Cantonese dish like braised abalone with mushrooms or a delicate pigeon dish.
🥂 An ideal wine for a significant celebration, a serious wine tasting, or a special anniversary dinner. It's a wine to be savored and discussed, perfect for connoisseurs and those looking to experience the pinnacle of Burgundy Pinot Noir.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Boillot is a wine producer based in Meursault, France, is renowned for its red and white wines from Côtes de Beaune appellations. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the primary grape varieties featured. The estate was named Domaine Jean Boillot until 2005, but was changed when Henri Boillot bought out his siblings in order to distinguish it from his brother's new Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot. Henri had previously set up Maison Henri Boillot for négociant wines and retains these labels to distinguish them from estate wines.
