Chateau Clinet is a wine producer located in Pomerol, Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Gironde. The vineyards are planted predominantly to Merlot, alongside small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.Clinet uses an eco-friendly approach to vineyard management, trying to avoid the use of chemicals, and to anticipate disease in the vineyard before it occurs.The grapes for this wine are sourced from around the cotes de Bordeaux from several producers, and oak staves are used for maturation rather than barrels. The red wine is made from Merlot, while the white is a classic Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle.
