🏰news | features: 【From a benchmark producer, this 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Village wine often performs at Premier Cru level, boasting a striking bouquet and sensual ripe tannins.】 Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier is a highly regarded Burgundian producer, particularly known for its Musigny Grand Cru. The 2020 vintage for this village-level Chambolle-Musigny is noted for its almost rambunctious bouquet and sensual ripe tannins, with some critics suggesting it needs a few years in bottle to cohere and develop secondary nuances.
+ short tasting note: Reveals a striking bouquet of dark cherries, cassis, and blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with sensual ripe tannins, plush and sweet, leading to a slightly candied, plummy, dark chocolate finish. Expect intensely perfumed wild strawberry, black cherry, rose petals, and a distinct saline minerality, showcasing surprising depth and concentration for a village wine.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing: This elegant Pinot Noir would be exquisite with Cantonese-style roasted pigeon or a delicate steamed chicken with truffle. For Western cuisine, consider pan-seared duck breast with cherry reduction, mushroom tart, or a selection of mild, aged cheeses.
🥂 fit for event suggestion: An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner party, a special occasion to impress connoisseurs, or a valuable addition to any cellar for future enjoyment.
