Lucien Le Moine, Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru, 2011
🏰 Lucien Le Moine's Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2011 is an elegant red Burgundy from a prestigious Grand Cru vineyard. Charmes-Chambertin wines are primarily crafted from Pinot Noir grapes. They are known for their deep color and an intense bouquet of black currants, other black and red berries, with mature examples often developing aromas of musk or licorice. This 2011 vintage, while from a challenging year in Burgundy, showcases the finesse and transparency that skilled producers like Lucien Le Moine could achieve. Expect a beautiful dark ruby color and a rich aromatic palette of red berries, spices, and flowers. Lucien Le Moine is celebrated for their meticulous, small-batch winemaking, aiming to express the purest essence of each Grand Cru terroir. 【An aromatic and elegant Grand Cru, reflecting the finesse achievable in the 2011 Burgundy vintage】.
🍴 This aromatic Grand Cru pairs wonderfully with a variety of rich and flavorful dishes. Consider grilled chicken in red wine sauce, roast lamb, glazed poultry, or rib steak. It also harmonizes beautifully with soft cheeses like burrata, camembert, chevra, and gorgonzola. Elaborate and strongly flavored foods such as mutton, boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin, game, or game pâté, and strong, mature cheeses are also excellent choices. Other suitable pairings include hare stew, venison terrine, and various red meats.
🥂 Ideal for fine dining, celebratory meals, or a sophisticated gathering where a nuanced and elegant red Burgundy is desired. It offers a delightful experience for those who appreciate the subtle complexities of a Grand Cru from a more delicate vintage.
