🏰The 2022 Ramonet Monthelie 1er Cru is a 【savory and classic Pinot Noir that beautifully expresses Ramonet's elegance and finesse】, always respecting the terroir identity and aromatic purity. This wine comes from carefully selected Premier Cru vineyards, cultivated with low yields to achieve maximum aromatic concentration, benefiting from optimal exposure and calcareous-clay soils for structure, complexity, and freshness. Expect a wine that is both elegant and harmonious, showcasing the delicate yet profound character of Monthelie.
🍴 This versatile red Burgundy pairs perfectly with white meats such as roasted chicken or duck a l'orange, delicate game birds, soft cheeses, and traditional French cuisine.
🥂 Ideal for a 【refined dinner, a special family gathering, or a quiet evening of contemplation】, this wine is enjoyable in its youth but will also reward further cellaring, allowing its complexities to deepen.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Ramonet is a prominent wine producer in the Burgundy appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, France. Ramonet owns more than 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyards. The primary grape variety is Chardonnay, with a small amount of Pinot Noir also planted. The estate's most important wines are made from Chardonnay from the area's grand cru vineyards, and are highly collectible, often selling for high prices at auction. Domaine Ramonet makes several red wines from Pinot Noir as well. Domaine Ramonet is now run by Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, following the death of their father Pierre in the mid-1990s.
