🏰 The 2019 Delas Hermitage Lieu-Dit Ligne de Crête is a powerful and refined Syrah from the highest plot on the Hermitage hill, 'Les Grandes Vignes'. The 2019 vintage in the Rhône Valley was exceptionally strong, characterized by a mild winter and dry spring, followed by a long, warm summer. This wine offers brilliant aromatics of crème de cassis, graphite, chocolate, new saddle leather, and spring flowers, with classic smoky meatiness emerging with aeration. It is full-bodied and powerful on the palate, with a concentrated, focused mouthfeel, good acidity, and building tannins. Critics have lauded its exceptional structure, harmony, and balance, with some noting its "showstopping Syrah" character and potential to gain power and complexity beyond 2050. 【 Showstopping Syrah with exceptional structure and aging potential 】.
🍴 This rich and intense Syrah is an ideal partner for robust dishes such as pigeon pie, beef tartare ravioli, roast fillet of deviled duckling with cranberries, woodcock, hare "à la Royale," or a roast rack of lamb in a herb crust. Lamb is a particularly natural pairing.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a grand celebratory dinner, a serious wine tasting, or as a centerpiece for a gourmet meal. It's a wine that demands a few years in the cellar to fully express its potential, and will reward patient collectors for decades to come.
