🏰【Crafted by Dominique Lucas in Haute-Savoie, this biodynamic Chasselas offers citrus, stone fruit, and almond notes with a saline finish】 This white wine from Savoie is made from Chasselas grapes. Dominique Lucas, the winemaker, left Burgundy for Savoie due to AOC restrictions and neighbors' lack of understanding of biodynamics. He uses biodynamic methods, with draft horses ploughing the rows, and ages the wine in concrete eggs or ovoid cement amphoras. The name "Un Matin Face au Lac" translates to "One Morning Facing the Lake," reflecting the vineyards' setting overlooking Alpine lakes. Yellow-gold with a hint of green, focused, clean, pure, and fresh. It offers citrus, white stone fruit (pear, apple, apricot), almond notes, and a characteristic saline minerality. It has lovely acidity and good length, developing rhubarb and cream notes as it warms.
🍴 Perfect with fish or poultry dishes. Also pairs well as an aperitif.
🥂 An excellent aperitif, perfect for a summer gathering, a seafood dinner, or a light lunch.
