🏰 The 1987 Rene Engel Vosne Romanee is a 【rare and historic Burgundy from a legendary estate】, offering a glimpse into a challenging vintage handled with mastery. Vosne Romanee is celebrated for its elegant, aromatic, and silky Pinot Noir. While 1987 was a difficult year in Burgundy, a producer of Rene Engel's caliber would have crafted a wine of character. At 37 years old, expect delicate tertiary aromas of forest floor, dried roses, subtle leather, and spice, with a refined and ethereal palate that speaks of age and grace.

This aged Vosne Romanee calls for refined pairings. Consider roasted poultry like guinea fowl, delicate lamb dishes, or pan-seared duck breast. For a luxurious touch, foie gras poêlé is an excellent match. It also pairs well with intensely flavoured cheeses such as Époisses or Langres.
🥂 fit for event suggestion IN ENGLISH
An exceptional wine for a connoisseur's tasting, an intimate and reflective dinner, or a very special anniversary for a Burgundy lover.
Serving Suggestion: This 1987 Vosne Romanee is a rare gem. Handle with extreme care, as the cork will likely be fragile. Decant very gently, if at all, just before serving to separate any sediment, but avoid excessive aeration which could diminish its delicate aromas. Serve at cellar temperature, around 15-16°C (59-61°F).
