Jean Louis Trapet Pere Et Fils, Chambertin Grand Cru, 2006
🏰 From one of Gevrey-Chambertin's most respected biodynamic estates, the 2006 Jean Louis Trapet Père et Fils Chambertin Grand Cru embodies the purity and elegance for which the domaine is known. Jean-Louis Trapet is a trailblazer in biodynamic farming in Burgundy, crafting wines that are pure, complex, and elegant. While specific 2006 Chambertin notes are not available, Grand Cru Chambertin is renowned for its 【power, structure, and ability to age gracefully, often revealing notes of red and black fruits, forest floor, and subtle spice with maturity】.
🍴 This powerful and elegant Grand Cru Pinot Noir is an ideal partner for flavorful red meats and offal in its youth, evolving to pair beautifully with finer dishes like roast duck with cabbage, game birds, or sweetbreads as it matures. Consider roasted venison, wild boar, or a rich mushroom risotto.
🥂 A magnificent choice for a significant celebration, a vertical tasting of fine Burgundy, or a contemplative evening to appreciate the depth and evolution of a world-class Pinot Noir.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Trapet is a wine company comprised of two estates, one in Alsace, the other in Burgundy. The company in its current dual-region configuration formed when Andrée Trapet inherited her parents' vineyards in Alsace in 2002. Her husband Jean-Louis has run Domaine Trapet Père et Fils in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1990, when he took over from his father Jean.
