🏰Domaine Faiveley, with a history dating back to 1825, produces this authentic Gevrey-Chambertin from vineyards with vines over 35 years old, planted on chalky and clay soils. The wine is aged for 14 months in second-year French oak barrels.
【This Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2017 is a jewel of Burgundy, offering remarkable complexity and character.】 It displays a deep ruby color with an expressive and complex nose of red fruits and woody notes, evolving into intense black fruits, damp earth, and rich spices. The palate is well-coated by delicately melted tannins, perfectly balanced, and reflects the elegance of Pinot Noir.
🍴It pairs well with roast rabbit with trumpets of death, duck, goose, game birds, red meats, and aged cheese. Classic pairings include roast rabbit, beef bourguignon, grilled beef, and roasted lamb.
🥂This elegant and classic red Burgundy is perfect for a romantic dinner, a business lunch, or as a thoughtful gift. It can be enjoyed now or aged for 5 to 7 years. Serve between 16ºC and 18ºC.
