FEATURES
🏰 Domaine Buisson Battault's Meursault Porusots 1er Cru 2022 is a precise and mineral-driven Meursault 1er Cru from a fifth-generation family domaine, showcasing the distinctive 【stony terroir of Porusots】. The 2022 vintage brought serenity to the vineyard with a healthy harvest and good volumes, marked by higher average temperatures and rainfall deficits, but with record sunshine. It delivered a beautifully balanced Burgundy, contrasting riper styles with refreshing acidity and classic elegance. The wine is aged 12 months in oak (20% new) then 6 months in tank.
👃 This wine presents a pale gold color with excellent clarity. The nose immediately announces the Porusots terroir with stony, almost smoky minerality layered with exotic fruit, white flowers, and subtle spice. It is a powerful, complex, rich, oily, and mineral wine with notes of chalk and flint. The palate is taut, finely structured, with a dense, fleshy texture and vibrancy. It offers a deep and full profile with remarkable aromatic persistence, featuring fruity, pastry, and brioche notes. The finish is long, mineral, and precise, with hints of citrus, green apple, and pear.
🍴 This exquisite white Burgundy pairs wonderfully with seared halibut with caper and herb butter, or pan-roasted Dover sole. It's also excellent with a seafood tower, cold shellfish plate, roast chicken with morels, veal in cream sauce, mushroom risotto, and aged Comté. For a luxurious pairing, consider poached lobster, cauliflower cream with caviar, or Epoisses cheese.
🥂 An excellent choice for refined seafood and classic French cuisine. Perfect for a sophisticated dinner, a special celebration, or as an impressive gift for white Burgundy lovers. This wine is expected to drink beautifully between 2026-2035.
