Francois Raveneau, Chablis Les Butteaux 1er Cru, 2001
🏰 The 2001 Francois Raveneau Chablis Les Butteaux 1er Cru is a 【legendary expression of Chablis terroir】, hailing from a producer revered for crafting some of the most profound and age-worthy Chardonnay wines in the world. The 2001 vintage in Chablis was generally considered very good, producing wines with excellent acidity and concentration, ideal for long-term cellaring. This Raveneau Butteaux would likely display a complex bouquet of wet stones, oyster shell, green apple, and subtle nutty notes, with a palate that is intensely mineral-driven, precise, and remarkably long. It's a wine that speaks of its origins with incredible clarity.
🍴 This exceptional Chablis is a dream pairing for fresh oysters, grilled sole, or delicate crab dishes. Its minerality also complements sushi and sashimi beautifully. For a Cantonese pairing, consider steamed scallops with vermicelli and garlic, or salt and pepper squid.
🥂 An extraordinary choice for a special anniversary, a celebratory seafood feast, or a serious tasting among Burgundy aficionados, showcasing the pinnacle of Chablis.
