FEATURES
🏰 The 1998 Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis, crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, is a traditionally aged wine that spent 3 to 3.5 years in Slavonian oak casks. This Barolo is known for its complex and fragrant character, possessing significant aging potential. On the nose, it reveals notes of dried black cherry, tar, anise, violets, orange fruitcake, and even a hint of bacon fat, alongside earthy undertones of leather, tobacco, and oak. The palate is bold and concentrated, yet refined and harmonious, with upfront primary fruit like strawberry, supported by layers of mint, thyme, and bay leaf. It presents a medium burgundy red color with a slight brickish hue, indicative of its graceful evolution. 【Optimal structure with already-soft tannins and an open, intense perfume, offering both power and great elegance.】
🍴 This Barolo is a versatile companion at the table, excelling with rich first courses like prosciutto, salami, Alba beef tartare, and vitello tonnato. It's also an excellent match for red meats, grilled fish, white meats, and hard, aged cheeses. For a sweet finish, consider desserts with dark chocolate.
🥂 Given its great aging potential, this wine can be enjoyed now, but will continue to evolve beautifully with further cellaring. It is also considered a 'vino da meditazione' – a wine for meditation, perfect for contemplative moments.
