🏰【A feminine expression of Vosne-Romanée with weightless concentration and profound elegance】, the 2007 Prieure Roch Vosne Romanee Clos Goillotte is a mature and intricately layered wine, revealing quiet power beneath its graceful exterior. Time has softened its edges, allowing structure and nuance to move seamlessly together, creating a profile that feels both intimate and deeply expressive. This top-end village wine exhibits lovely Vosne spiciness and minerality.
Short tasting note: Expect an intensely perfumed bouquet with floral fireworks of rose petals, violets, and peony, layered over vibrant red fruits like wild strawberry and raspberry, with subtle hints of dried leaves, tea, and undergrowth. The palate offers silky tannins and integrated acidity, leading to a smooth, persistent, and elegant finish.
🍴 This elegant Burgundy red pairs beautifully with roast duck breast served with a cherry or berry jus, or game birds like pigeon with wild mushrooms and herbs. It's also excellent with Tournedos de bœuf, Côte de bœuf grillée, or Magret de canard.
🥂 Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party or a romantic evening, this wine is ready to impress.
Serving suggestion: Serve at 16-18°C. Decanting for 1-2 hours is recommended to allow its complex aromas to fully unfold.
