🏰 Louis Latour's Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru is 【Louis Latour's flagship Corton Grand Cru, a blend from five exceptional sites, only produced in perfect vintages.】 This unique and exclusive wine is a blend of five areas of Domaine Latour Corton Grand Cru, with proportions varying by vintage, and is only produced when grapes achieve perfect maturity. The average age of the vines exceeds 40 years. The 2013 vintage, while challenging for 布根地, yielded wines of good acidity and charm from top producers. This 2013 Château Corton Grancey displays an intense ruby color. The nose reveals notes of black cherry, liquorice, coffee, and clove, with an ample mouthfeel of blackcurrant and clove, leading to a beautiful persistence and mellow tannins. Some tasters also note heavy florals, forest floor, spice box, and a nice salinity.
🍴 This powerful and elegant Pinot Noir is an ideal partner for wild boar, roasted beef, roasted quail, duck 'à l'orange,' and mature cheeses. Its complexity also makes it suitable for game birds.
🥂 With a cellaring potential of 10-15 years, and a drinking window extending to around 2035, this Grand Cru is perfect for a significant anniversary, a sophisticated dinner party, or as a prized addition to a serious wine collection.
BACKGROUND
Louis Latour (also known as Domaine Louis Latour) is a major négociant and wine producer in Burgundy, France. A majority of the wine portfolio is produced from the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wine grape varieties. The Latour family have grown grapes as far back as the 17th Century in Aloxe-Corton. They acquired a 125 acre (50 ha) domaine and the Corton Grancey winery was built in 1834.
