The 2022 Vincent Dauvissat Petit Chablis comes from a vintage that was very pleasing, characterized by good volumes and a lovely expression of flavor, with acidity levels falling between those of 2018 and 2020. Vincent Dauvissat is widely regarded as one of the finest domaines in Chablis.
This Petit Chablis offers peachy fruit notes and a zesty character, underpinned by a fine thread of acidity that extends into a long finish. It beautifully balances the ripeness of the 2022 vintage with classic Chablis minerality. Aromas of sweet stone and orchard fruit mingle with lemon oil and clay liquor. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, ample, and fleshy, with lively acids and a mouthwateringly mineral finish. Expect flavors of peach, apple, lemon, and briny mineral notes, all well-balanced with a hint of apple skin on the finish. The nose is ripe yet agreeably fresh, combining notes of white and yellow orchard fruit, citrus confit, and quinine. The rich and generous medium-weight flavors possess a beguiling texture, coating the palate with a nicely dry and subtly long finish. A distinctive saline quality also makes it very appealing.

Food pairing suggestions: This versatile Chablis is excellent as an aperitif or paired with a range of dishes. It's a fantastic match for pork, shellfish, rich fish like salmon or tuna, and mild, soft cheeses. It's also very enjoyable with creamy cheese.
Event suggestions: Its vibrant acidity and fresh profile make it perfect for casual gatherings, summer lunches, or as a refreshing start to any meal. It's an unbelievable entry-level Chablis that can be enjoyed young, though it has the structure to age for a short to mid-term period, potentially until 2030.
