Clos La Madeleine is a small vineyard in Bordeaux with 76 acres of 2.5 hectares planted on the limestone plateau of La Magdeleine, outside the village of Saint-Emilion. % Merlot and 34% Cabernet Franc, has similar deep limestone and clay soils, with a south-facing hillside terroir. When the estate was first created, their Saint-Emilion wines were sold under the name La Magdeleine. Eventually, the owners changed the name to reflect the name of the place where the vines were grown, "La Madeleine." Starting with the 2019 vintage, just after the estate was acquired by Ets. Moueix, the vineyards were uprooted and completely replanted. Since then, no wine has been produced.
