🏰The 2019 Pierre Girardin Les Narvaux Meursault is a 【deep, energetic, and very mineral Chardonnay from a talented young winemaker】, showcasing the purity of its terroir. Pierre Girardin, a 13th-generation Burgundian, crafts wines that respect the mineral expression of the land. This white Burgundy offers complex aromas of white fruit, citrus notes, and hints of pastries and butter. The palate is deep, vibrant, and saline, with energetic acidity and a long mineral persistence. Further notes include citrus, apple, chamomile, flinty stone, with clear oak tones of cedar, vanilla, and nuts, touched by a hint of caramel. It's described as youthfully austere yet highly persistent, with a balance of concentration and mineral zest, promising to repay 6 to 9 years of keeping.
🍴 This vibrant Meursault is an excellent partner for rich seafood like pan-seared scallops, roasted chicken, creamy pasta dishes, or goat cheese salads. Its mineral backbone also makes it suitable for oysters or delicate white fish.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner, a tasting of promising young Burgundy, or a special occasion where a high-quality, age-worthy white wine is desired.
