🏰 The 2013 Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc is a 【spectacular dry white Bordeaux, hailed as one of the best dry whites of its vintage and even ranked #9 in Wine Spectator's 2016 Top 100】. This outstanding white is known for its elegance and complexity, showcasing a blend predominantly of Sauvignon Blanc with Sauvignon Gris and Semillon. It offers a gorgeous feel with opulent fruit offset by racy herb notes and acidity, revealing lemon sherbet, shortbread, white peach, grapefruit, guava, and melon flavors. The palate is fresh, vibrant, and harmonious, with hints of salted butter, tarragon, talc, fennel, aniseed, and gunpowder, leading to a seriously long and still youthful finish.
🍴 This exquisite white Bordeaux pairs beautifully with fresh seafood like oysters, grilled scallops, pan-seared sole, or rich poultry dishes such as roasted chicken with lemon and herbs. For an Asian touch, consider steamed fish with ginger and spring onion or delicate dim sum.
🥂 An excellent choice for a celebratory seafood dinner, a sophisticated summer gathering, or as a remarkable gift for a white wine connoisseur.
