🏰 Les Horées, a young, micro-domaine in Burgundy, is known for its organic and biodynamic approach and minimal-intervention winemaking. The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge 'Le Vieux Sage' is crafted from 60-year-old Pinot Noir vines in Pommard. The vintage itself was generally favorable, producing ripe and healthy grapes. This wine unfurls with notes of sweet red berries, cassis, and plums, mingled with vanilla pod and peony. It's medium-bodied, supple, and suave, with a succulent core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins, concluding with a discreetly vanilla-inflected finish. Critics praise its purity, vibrant acidity, and lovely aromatic blueberries, with a silky mid-palate fruit. 【 Terroir-driven, biodynamic Burgundy from old vines 】
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy is highly versatile. It pairs beautifully with roasted free-range chicken, river trout fillet, fine charcuterie like Bayonne ham, or mild cheeses such as Brillat-Savarin. It also complements beef, veal, poultry, and game.
🥂 Perfect for a friendly family lunch, an aperitif with friends, or a relaxed evening with simple yet refined dishes. Its approachable yet complex nature makes it suitable for both casual enjoyment and more focused tasting.
