BACKGROUND
Roagna is a historic and highly revered family estate in Piedmont, Italy, known for its staunchly traditional winemaking and deep respect for terroir. The 'Asili Vecchie Viti' is a rare and profound Barbaresco sourced from old vines (vecchie viti) in the legendary Asili cru. The terroir here features calcareous marl soils, which produce Nebbiolo of extraordinary elegance and perfume. Roagna employs long macerations and extended aging in large neutral oak casks. The resulting wine is ethereal, complex, and structured, offering intoxicating aromas of roses, red cherries, and earthy spices, with immense aging potential.
