Chantal Lescure, Vosne Romanee Les Suchots 1er Cru, 2011
🏰Chantal Lescure Vosne Romanee Les Suchots 1er Cru 2011 is a highly regarded red Burgundy, known for its 【elegance, aromatic complexity, and silky texture】 from the prestigious Les Suchots vineyard. While specific detailed tasting notes for the 2011 vintage were not immediately available, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru wines are typically celebrated for their perfumed nose of red berries, violets, and subtle spice, with a palate that balances fruit, acidity, and fine tannins, leading to a long, graceful finish. The 2011 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered a good, early-drinking vintage, producing charming and expressive wines.
🍴 This refined Pinot Noir pairs exquisitely with roasted duck breast, pan-seared foie gras, mushroom-based dishes, or delicate game birds like quail. It also complements mild, earthy cheeses.
🥂 An excellent choice for a romantic dinner, a special anniversary, or a gathering of Burgundy enthusiasts who appreciate finesse and aromatic depth.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Chantal Lescure was founded in 1975 by the husband and wife team Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont. They primarily cultivate Pinot Noir and a small amount of Chardonnay grapes. The estate spans approximately 18 hectares from Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits to Volnay in the Côte de Beaune, a rarity in today's valuable Burgundy vineyard landscape. After Chantal's passing in 1996, her son Aymeric undertook a thorough restructuring of the estate and appointed François Chavériat as the estate manager.
