🏰 The 2010 vintage for red Burgundy, particularly for Grand Crus like Lecheneaut's Clos de la Roche, is widely regarded as exceptionally good, often described as a "connoisseur's vintage" or an "intellectual vintage" due to its pure and balanced style. Despite a challenging growing season with a cold winter and difficult flowering, a late September harvest under favorable conditions allowed grapes to achieve phenolic ripeness while retaining high acidity. The resulting wines are beautifully poised, showcasing more red fruit notes like cherries and raspberries than black, with tremendous color and structure. They offer a freshness akin to 2008s, the concentration of 2009s, and a fruit character reminiscent of 2002, with a silky texture and penetrating minerality. 【 Pure and balanced style 】.
🍴 This elegant and structured red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with classic French cuisine such as roasted duck breast, coq au vin, or mushroom-based dishes. It also complements aged hard cheeses beautifully.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party, a special anniversary celebration, or as a thoughtful gift for a serious Burgundy collector. Its excellent aging potential makes it suitable for cellaring for many years to come.
